Solution Concentration Calculator

Solve for amount, volume or concentration. Fill in two fields and leave the third empty.

How it is calculated

Concentration = amount ÷ volume. Rearranged: amount = concentration × volume, and volume = amount ÷ concentration.

This calculator uses mg for amount, mL for volume and mg/mL for concentration. Values must be above zero.

Worked example (mathematical example only): 10 mg in 4 mL gives 2.5 mg/mL. At 2.5 mg/mL, 4 mL contains 10 mg.
